NTU Sports day
NTU Sports day

After a week of gloomy weather, the sun slowly started to shine upon the opening ceremony of the 2019 National Taiwan University Sports Day. Taking place on November 23-24, 2019 at the NTU Sports Center, NTU Sports Day started with a parade and the lighting of the torch by selected student-athletes from the NTU track and field team. Staff, students, and alumni from all college departments participated in various track and field events.

For this year’s track and field events, we also had participants from our very own GMBA department! Yvonne Chen, our program coordinator, participated in the 60m dash and long jump. She impressively won 1st place for both events. Ray Wang, a GMBA alumnus, ran the 100m dash where he placed 5th. Wang also competed in the long jump event along with fellow alumnus Chris Chen, in which they placed 2nd and 6th, respectively. Alumnus Tina Lai also participated in the long jump where she placed 3rd. Lastly, current student Sheena Grace Lim competed in the high jump event and achieved 3rd place.

Athletes who took part in the events enjoyed themselves, and everyone who attended had fun supporting their colleagues and classmates. Events like this are a great way to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie between athletes from different college departments.
