During a splendid Sunday afternoon on January 12, 2025, at National Taiwan University, College of Management Building I, C.C. Hong Memorial Hall, the first GMBA Information Session was held. The event was organized to introduce the curriculum to prospective students who may decide to enroll in NTU Global MBA this upcoming fall semester or in the future. The highlight of this offline session was the chance to hear from and meet in person with the student body, alumni, and distinguished professors of GMBA.

By 14:00, the seats were filled with attendees. Soon after, Professor Shing-yang Hu, Dean of the College of Management, welcomed everyone to the event. Then Professor Bryan Jean, the Director of the GMBA Program, took over the podium and introduced the College of Management and GMBA to attendees inside the hall.

After the introduction given by our esteemed officials came to an end, GMBA current students, Mr. Marius Morgenweg (Class of 2026) and Mr. Joshua Max Miller (Class of 2025), took turns to present their experiences before enrollment, school life, the importance of time management, and student activities to the audiences.

Afterwards, Professor Leon Van Jaarsveldt went up on the stage and shared how the GMBA program is like from a foreigner’s perspective. He also helpfully drew attention to some matters that prospective students may be having and how GMBA differs from other curricula.

The moment everyone has been waiting for has arrived, and we have GMBA alumni: Ms. Sherry Shih (Class of 2013), Executive Assistant to CEO, New Media Development and Digital Learning of ELTA TV; Mr. Ted Yang (Class of 2021), Head of Health & Benefits, Taiwan, WTW; and Ms. Jennifer Liu (Class of 2018), Vice President and Team Leader of Digital Business Department, CTBC, on the stage to give speeches about the impact NTU GMBA had on their personal lives and career paths.

By the end of the event, all participants had gathered and enjoyed modest catering while engaging in casual conversations with current students and alumni. Most of the participants felt this session was very helpful and informative, and having conversations face to face with students and alumni really fostered and encouraged them that GMBA should be the right program for them.
