It was night of friendship and celebration as more than 70 participants attended the Welcome Party held by GMBA Student Council, last September 17, 2022, Saturday night at Brass Monkey. The event was held to promote the spirit of camaraderie and to forge new bonds among the GMBA community. By having the  past, present and incoming GMBA students , along with the GMBA Office, the event provided an avenue for GMBAers to get to know each other and spend good times with one another. The event also welcomed the new batch of  students into the GMBA family.

The event started with a welcome speech from Professor Audrey Hsu, Director of the GMBA program. In her speech, Professor Audrey encouraged the students to maximize the opportunity by meeting 20 new people in the event. If there is a theme  for the event, it would be “ Reunited”. Aside from meeting new people , different scenarios of reuniting occurred as it can be seen such as alumni reuniting with their batchmates and friends after their graduation , current students reuniting after the long summer break and freshmen reuniting after their Orientation. The mentors finally also got to meet and were reunited with their mentees in person after just getting to know them through online videoconferencing. Truly, it was a night to remember as participants bonded and chatted the night away with lots of pizza, chicken wings and beer.
