2026 CHT-I International Business Innovation Proposal Competition Info Session

On March 4, 2026, the NTU Global MBA, in collaboration with Chunghwa Telecom, successfully hosted the Info Session for the 2026 CHT-I International Business Innovation Proposal Competition at the College. The event attracted dozens of students from different departments and colleges across NTU, highlighting strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and business innovation.

The competition provides students with an opportunity to tackle real industry challenges and develop innovative business proposals. This year’s theme, “AI-Powered Business Innovation for Global Markets,” invites participants to design scalable international strategies that leverage artificial intelligence and CHT’s ICT capabilities to create new business value.

The session opened with remarks from GMBA Director Bryan Jean. Professor Chin-Yuan Huang who introduced the overall structure of the competition, including team requirements, key rules, and the competition timeline. The session continued with an industry briefing delivered by Richard Chiang, Business Development Manager at Chunghwa Telecom. Richard introduced Chunghwa Telecom’s global operations and provided guidance on how participants should approach this year’s topic. He also explained the evaluation criteria, noting that proposals will be assessed based on innovation, market analysis, potential impact, and feasibility. For teams advancing to the final round, the quality of the final presentation and the team’s ability to clearly communicate their ideas will also play an important role in determining the overall results.

Several new features were introduced for the 2026 competition. The total prize pool has increased by 50% compared with last year, reaching NTD 300,000. In addition, each participating team will be paired with an industry mentor from Chunghwa Telecom, who will provide guidance and insights to help refine ideas and strengthen the feasibility of proposed solutions.

Another highlight of the competition is the Industry Field Experience scheduled for March 19 at the Smart City Summit & Expo in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, where participants will have the opportunity to explore real-world AI applications and smart city technologies.

The event concluded with an interactive networking session, during which students asked questions, exchanged ideas, and began forming teams. Several participants quickly connected with potential teammates, setting the stage for a dynamic and competitive competition.
