I was inspired to join the NTU GMBA program by its strong international community and reputation as an elite program designed for global professionals. As the best MBA program in Taiwan, it offered the ideal platform to prepare me for the next stage of career advancement while broadening my global perspective. During the program, the most valuable lessons came from proactive learning and extensive social networking, particularly through group collaboration and discussions with classmates from diverse industries. The fun, open, and outgoing culture, along with the wide range of activities, made learning both engaging and practical. Several courses had a significant impact on my professional and personal growth, especially the negotiation strategy class taught by Professor David, where I learned how to achieve effective outcomes at the negotiation table, skills that have since helped me approach client discussions more strategically. In addition, the entrepreneurial leadership course taught by Professor Kevin played a key role in shaping my leadership style and continue to positively influence my current leadership role.

I am currently the Head of Health and Benefits at WTW Taiwan, where I advise organizations on how to turn people risk into a competitive advantage. With over a decade of cross-border experience, I have supported leading multinational companies in aligning benefits strategies, optimizing costs, and navigating complex workforce transitions, particularly during periods of change and growth. My GMBA experience significantly contributed to this journey by strengthening my understanding of how businesses operate as a whole and sharpening my overall business acumen, enabling me to approach challenges from a more holistic and strategic perspective. When I first entered the GMBA program, I was leading business development for health and benefits, and I actively applied what I learned in the classroom to my work, successfully growing the business within a few years. This momentum, combined with the academic training from GMBA, positioned me to seize the opportunity to become head of the department when it arose, clearly setting my performance apart. Beyond personal career advancement, the GMBA network has been invaluable to my professional growth. It is a strong community of international, high-potential professionals, and I have introduced more than five GMBA graduates to WTW, with three currently working on my team. This experience demonstrates how GMBA not only develops individual leaders but also helps organizations cultivate the future talent they need in an increasingly competitive talent market.

My advice to current GMBA students and recent graduates is simple: the sky is the limit. Try as much as you can, explore different possibilities, find what truly excites you, and go all in. As long as you persist, time will prove that the effort is worthwhile. One challenge I faced post-GMBA was that, despite the program’s comprehensive business training, it was not always easy to apply what I learned immediately in my day-to-day work. Over time, however, as the knowledge became internalized, I found it extremely valuable during critical decision-making moments, helping me analyze situations more clearly and approach problems with greater structure and confidence. Overall, the GMBA experience has had a lasting impact on how I think, decide, and lead.

"GMBA was a fun and inspiring journey defined by positive competition, lifelong friendships, and continuous personal growth!"
