What inspired me to join the NTU GMBA program was the opportunity to expand my network by connecting with talented professionals from various industries while being part of a globally recognized program in one of the best universities in Taiwan. Throughout my GMBA journey, I've learned that it's never too late to upskill, and that soft skills are just as crucial as technical expertise in any field. This program reinforced the importance of building and maintaining meaningful relationships, which is invaluable in both business and personal growth. My professors have played a huge role in shaping me into the person I am today, constantly pushing boundaries and challenging me to think out of the box.

Currently, I work as a financial analyst at Yahoo. The program has significantly expanded my knowledge across various industries, enabling me to smoothly transition from a traditional industry, banking, into the ever-changing media and technology industry. Professionally, the GMBA network has helped me secure several interview opportunities, which eventually helped me secure an internship opportunity at Ernst & Young (EY).

The advice I would give to current GMBA students is to see GMBA as more than just an academic program, it should be a transformative journey. So, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try out new stuff. Take the courses that you know nothing about, join the local cultural activities like Dragon Boat, and make new friends. One of the biggest challenges post-GMBA that I faced was the difficulty of finding a good job, and the amount of rejections that came with it. How I handled this was to take each failure as a stepping stone, rather than a setback. Every rejection becomes a learning experience, and every rejection is one step closer to getting the job that I want. If I had to describe GMBA in one sentence, I would say transformation.
