Mr. Dirk Lin from Google Cloud delivered an insightful presentation to National Taiwan University (NTU) GMBA students, offering a glimpse into Google’s significant and forward-looking role in the dynamic field of artificial intelligence.

The talk highlighted how Google’s innovation in AI is guided by its foundational principles: the philosophy of "10x thinking" and the core tenet to "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Mr. Lin explained that this commitment to moonshot ideas—aiming for substantial breakthroughs—is embedded in Google's DNA, stemming from its mission to organize the world's information.

Lin noted that recent, rapid advancements in generative AI represent a pivotal moment, prompting Google to build upon its decades of research and accelerate the deployment of its work. He showcased Google’s powerful Gemini family of models (including Pro and Flash) and demonstrated how Google Cloud offers a suite of optimized tools for a wide array of use cases.

He emphasized that Google Cloud's world-class infrastructure is a key enabler for success in AI development. Tracing Google's journey from a university research project to a global technology leader, Lin explained how the company's massive computational power and culture of innovation position it to help everyone realize the potential of AI.

The session provided NTU's future business leaders with a valuable perspective on how a leading technology company harnesses its core principles to innovate and shape the future in an era of transformative change.
