On February 19, 2025, the GMBA program hosted a thesis workshop to equip students with a clearer understanding of the steps required for a well-prepared thesis writing process. Ms. Yvonne Chen, Manager of the GMBA Thesis and Graduation, introduced the newly established graduation SOP, outlining key timelines and procedures for a smooth graduation application. She also provided essential information on the required documents and logistics for the oral defense, such as printing thesis copies for the committee and preparing technical setups like laptops for presentations. Prof. Leon van Jaarsveldt, GMBA Professor and Thesis Consultant, emphasized the importance of early advisor selection. He advised students to secure an advisor at least one semester before their graduating semester to ensure proper guidance in developing a thesis that meets GMBA’s and NTU’s academic standards. He also recommended submitting a well-structured thesis proposal to demonstrate clarity of topic and significance, increasing the likelihood of securing a professor’s mentorship. |
