We are looking for motivated, capable people who ideally have a background in engineering or another technical background. Fluent in Hindi and English.

The position is a starting position in our engineering/research and development. 


Job Description

Major Responsibilities

  • Provides remote technical support and application problem resolution and escalation assistance associated with provided solutions. Provide technical assistance via the telephone to customers and partners as well as internal customers. Responds to situations where customers own support personnel have failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
  • Execute field installation project in customer sites
  • Perform on-site hardware installation, software commissioning, network integration and customer acceptance testing.
  • Reviewing project/product requirements, understanding architectures. Write customer acceptance test cases.
  • Assist customers with upgrades of hardware and software
  • Help customers with equipment configuration and maintenance. Provide Tier1/Tier2/Tier3 support service to customers.
  • Assistance in scripting automation. Provide training on product operation, one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to Product Support and Engineering
  • This is a hands-on, Field Application Engineer position that requires a range of skills from technical and commercial.
  • Being a Field Application Engineer, you will use your experience and analytical skills in order to understand and debug systems as well as develop creative and innovative solutions to problems as they arise.
  • Up to 50% travel at times when company field implementations require onsite engagements


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior staff and supervisor on a full range of mechanical design modification projects, equipment applications, failure research studies; as well as operations and maintenance activities.
  • Assist senior staff and supervisor in performing inspections and evaluations of existing conditions for various mechanical equipment and systems for proper installation, problem identification and troubleshooting, or improvements.
  • Assist in providing direction and review for the mechanical design and drafting personnel in the development of the project drawings.
  • Assist in providing office and field engineering support during installations.
  • Ensure deadlines are met as assigned by supervisors.
  • Assist in the coordination of work with other disciplines and departments for the successful development and execution of projects.
  • Gather information (site, vendors and other engineers) for engineering tasks.
  • Basic competencies in the analysis, design and integration of mechanical systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical systems and concepts.
  • Basic understanding of the mechanical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of the fundamental drawing and specification system preferred.
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamic and various mechanical systems and theory preferred.
  • Exposure to electrical utility industry preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university.


Desired Skills:

  • Customer service or sales support experience.
  • CAD skills; Solid Works – preferred
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Read mechanical, electrical and “as-built” blueprints and have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with current desktop computer software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint.
  • 100% proficiency in English, written and verbal (a writing sample will be required prior to interview)
  • 100% proficiency in Hindi, written and verbal (a writing sample will be required prior to interview)


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical people.
  • Comfortable working with all organizational levels. Interaction is common with plant hourly, plant management, technical/professional, and executive leadership personnel.
  • Confident dealing with external customers.
  • Engaging personality with the ability to drive change.
